Happy Birthday to Meeeeeeeee!

Hello there

Are you having a good day? I am having a grand day! It started with my kids bounding into the bedroom with my birthday cards and some breakfast for me. They gave me a little light that you can clip onto your book so you can read in the dark. Husband gave me a new chest of drawers from Ikea that I like and my in laws gave me another set of slightly bigger ones. Husband also gave me a Waterstones card so I cancelled part of my order with Amazon and decided to buy Kate Harrison and Lucy Diamonds books along with the new Writers & Artists Yearbook 2009. They had sold out of Lucy's book but I managed to get Kate's. Also they only had last years W&A but I found another similar book that I had never seen before and flicking through it I can see it has a lot of interesting info in it. It is called Writers Market UK 2009. Anyone seen this book before. (I have bought it and don't plan on returning it but would be interested to know other peoples views on it.)

I had my interview this morning. The IT test that was first was nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. In fact I was surprised at how easy it was. The interview bit went alright too but I just have to wait until the end of next week to see how I fared. If I get it then great, if not then fair enough.

I have been to M&S and bought myself a rather lovely chocolate birthday cake. I nearly came to blows with a woman in the Co-Op when she told me 'We don't take Scottish money' as I attempted to buy a bottle of water with a Scottish note my mum had sent me in my birthday card. I had to go to the bank to pay in a cheque from my dad so asked them to switch the Scottish notes for English ones. I decided I was not going to cause a scene today and I would let her off this one time. Just let her try it again though! mwah-ha-ha-ha (evil laugh there)
